Purpose

Cross of Christ Christian Preschool It is our purpose to provide an environment in which young children can freely and happily develop spiritually, socially, physically and mentally. Young children learn through play so our program is play oriented. The curriculum, based on state preschool standards, is carefully designed to aid in kindergarten readiness. We have been licensed and operating for over 20 years.

Through free play and planned activities, students will be exposed to:

  • Christian atmosphere with Bible Stories and Prayer
  • Language Arts including Reading Readiness, Comprehension, and Alphabet recognition, sounds, and writing
  • Music
  • Fine and Gross Motor Skills
  • Social Skills
  • Beginning Math Concepts including counting, number recognition, and writing
  • Creative Art
  • Early Science Concepts

The class schedule includes small motor and manipulatives, Bible Story, songs with movement, free play, projects, clean up, snack, music, large motor skills or outdoor activity. The curriculum for the four year old classes is expanded with more extensive kindergarten readiness.

Each class has a ratio of one adult to six students or better. Parents are not required to assist in the classroom, but are always welcome to visit or volunteer on party and cooking days. Our classroom setting is very spacious.
